Artist Statement

Ben Dye is a graduate of Marylhurst University, living and working as a professional artist in Oregon since the mid-1990s. He specializes in large-scale public sculptures that become a destination, inviting people to examine, touch, and in all ways, engage with the art. His works are to be found in numerous cities throughout Oregon. Ben says that his use of mathematics to create form is an aspect he hopes will draw people to view and revisit his works, allowing them to see them differently with each successive viewing.
