Artist Statement

The two artists have joined forces to produce “Symbiosis”, moving from architectural art to fine art, and from residential spaces to public spaces, where their work will find the broad audience it deserves.

About the Artists

Sculptor Mark Andrew found his love of art at an early age in travels across the U.S. and abroad. He began studies in architecture at the University of Oregon, but soon switched to art, focusing on wood carving. After spending time in Florida as a wildlife carver, and then in Carmel where he diversified his subject matter, her returned to the Northwest and expanded his mediums, moving into stone and bronze.

Randy Ortiz is a fine arts graduate of the University of Oregon and a metal sculptor specializing in ornamental architectural features.
