Artist Bio

Sharon has a passion for creating in stone. She lives in Kitsap County in a natural setting where she is a keen observer of wildlife. Nature herself acts as a muse for Sharon to reveal the animal or figure within the stone. While she delights in the sensuality of the softer stones such as steatite and alabaster, she also loves the challenge and boldness of granite.

Sharon has studied sculpture with Sabah AI-Dhaher at the Pratt Institute of Fine Arts, and participated in numerous NWSSA symposiums in the foothills of the Cascade Mountains and on Whidbey Island, where the surrounding trees and wildlife served as further inspiration.

Her work: has been shown at the Seattle Flower and Garden Show, Carnegie Gallery, Kirsten Gallery, NWSSA Symposium Sculpture Walks, Lake Oswego Festival of the Arts, Puyallup Arts Downtown, Magnolia Gardens, Joan Longstaff Gallery in Edmonds and Heltsley Shows in Edmonds.

In addition to the work: she has shown in galleries, Sharon has also created personally commissioned sculpture. She serves as an officer and as a board member for the Northwest Stone Sculptor's Association (NWSSA).

Located in Pioneer Park:
