Artist Statement:
The title and arrangement create an organic feel but it's made from discarded machine parts. I enjoy the conflict this creates and how people respond.
The title and arrangement create an organic feel but it's made from discarded machine parts. I enjoy the conflict this creates and how people respond.
Bio:
I create my sculptures because I have to. I have given up trying to figure out why or what events in my past have created this situation. I now just work to have as much time as possible to create the sculptures that are waiting for me in my pile of material.
My past experiences of course influence what I create. I use a lot of material from Central Washington where I grew up. I've always been fascinated by the craftsmanship and artistry that went into machines and tools that were made in the late 1800's and early 1900's. I also like to have fun with my work and I hope people viewing my work experience that also.
